The Blount County Historical Society, the State's third oldest historical society, is a not-for-profit organization. It serves as a funding foundation for the Blount County Memorial Museum.

The Society holds public meetings quarterly at the Blount County Memorial Museum and other historic County locations. These meetings feature guest lecturers, artists and authors whose work reflects local history and events.

Membership also provides online access to Society news, records and corporate activities and actions. An online membership application is available. The viewer may print and mail it to the Society along with the dues payment.

The Blount County Historical Society gratefully accepts donations, which are used to support its programs and projects.
